Chapter 2: What a Day

(Mikki POV)

The school bus came to my stop, I made my way to my house. I unlocked the door with my cheetah print keys. I smelled and heard fresh onions and bell peppers being chopped. *My mom, Christina, must be home.* I dropped my bags at the foot of the entrance and closed the door behind me & made my way towards the kitchen. "Hi, Mommy!" I said bouncing up and down, almost burning my elbow on the gas stove. "Mikki move, before you get hurt. You're first day must have been good, eh' ?" Christina asked her daughter.
(3rd Person POV)
"Well yeah. I did make one new friend though." Mikki said a little above a whisper. "Oh, really now? Whats their name?" "His name is Jay and he's in all my classes. We hit it off very well." " Well it seems to me you like this Jay." Mikki looked down. Somehow the floor was more intresting than this conversation. "Meccala, look at me when I'm speaking to you." *There she goes using my real 1st name (Mikki is my nickname)* "Okay mom." "Anyways, I know you like him. So go wash up for dinner and tell your little brother Matthew to do the same."

Chapter 1: First Impressions

(Linn POV)

 I scurried through the crowded hallways of Allison High School. Today was my first day of 9th grade. I am so nervous, because I don't know anyone here. I was trying to quickly get to my locker. When I finally made it to my locker #267, I pulled out my U.S history notebook and textbook getting ready for my first period class.

*** ( History Class) (3rd Person POV)

The shy girl took a seat in the far right hand of the classroom, trying to avoid any eye contact and etc. Shortly after, the bell began to rang and a short, chubby woman with blonde spanish curls appeared. She placed her purse and laptop on the teacher desk. She picked up a red dry erase marker and wrote the words 'Ms.Quinn'

"Hello class of 2016, My name is Ms.Quinn as you can see I will be your history teacher. Since today is the first day of high school for you guys, we're going to around the room and you all will say your name and whats your hidden talent. The students went along with the ice breaker. The last person to go was the shy girl. "Come sweetie with the big dimples. Tell the class your name (smiles)" Ms.Quinn said trying to get the girl to talk. "Well, Ummm Hi everyone. My name is ____. " "Well ____, Whats your hidden talent?" A boy asked across the room. He was about 6'3 feet with a smooth brown complextion and he was cute to her. She could feel her cheeks turning pink and the students eyes burning a hole through her. "Ohh. See, I don't really have a talent." "Come on there's gotta be something." Ms. Quinn said. "Well I sing a little." The girl said smiling. "Really now!?!" The whole class asked with their eyes filled with excitement.
(Lunch)

The girl found a nice spot to eat her lunch under an oak tree to give her shade. She sat down thinking about her day so far. *Wow, this school is okay. That boy is in all my classes. Shit, he's even in my dance class! He's so cute. I wonder whats his name* Her thoughts were shattred by the guy she was thinking about sitting across from her. *Is this really happening?* "Hi, do you mind if I eat lunch with you?" He asked, already knowing the answer. "Uhh. Sure." The girl smiled, exposing her dimples. Her left dimple slightly bigger than the right. "(Laughs)" "Whats so funny?" "You have dimples and they're not even." He said still laughing. His laughter came to an end when he saw that she was not amused. "Okay...? she said covering her cheeks. "No, I like it. Its cute." "You think I'm cute?" "Hell yeah. Plus you got that shy swagg." "(Blushes)" "By the way whats your name?" "My name is Mikki, but you can call me Linn. Thats my middle name." "Even cute. But Ima call you MikkiLinn." "Ahaha. Okay. But whats your name?" "Jay." Ohh. okay, Jay. well I have to go now." "Wait whats your number?" "I'll give it you when I get to know you better." Mikki said walking off(Jay's POV)

*Hmmm, MikkiLinn. She's something else :)*
