Chapter 3: Tighten Up

(3rd Person POV)

"Have a nice day baby." Christina said to her daughter before pulling out of the school drive way. "Mom, I'm in high school now, you gotta stop doing that." Mikki replied, wiping off her mother's kiss. "Bye little girl." "Bye mom." And with that being said, Mikki made her way into Allison high school's busy hallways



*Damn, what does a girl have to do to get to her locker?* Mikki thought. She heard someone calling her name through the crowd of teens. "MikkiLinn!" Mikki turned around to see Jay pushing past people to get to her. Mikki kept walking till she got to her locker. Jay kept following her. "Hey, Mikki can I speak to you for a minute?" "Not now. I'm gonna be late for dance class." "Why are you trying to avoid me?" Mikki looked down at her pink chuck taylors. "Look at me." Jay lifted her chin, causing her to look him in his deep chocolate eyes. He stared back at her grey eyes. It was such a slow-mo moment, that they didn't realize students eyes were now on them. Mikki backed up from his grasp. "You're making a scene." "I'm sorry, its just you're so beautiful." In reply, Mikki smiled back at Jay. "Hey, there goes your big dimples." "I should get to class." Mikki grabbed her dance duffel, closed her locker and dashed for dance class.

"Welcome class of 2016 Champions, my name is Ms.Higgins and I will be your dance instructor for the rest of your days at Allison High." Mikki opened the door into the dance studio and took a seat next to the most popular girl in the 9th grade, Jessica (Mikki didn't know)

 
A few minutes of stretching, Ms. Higgins let the students chat and mingle a bit. Mikki kept to herself in the corner alone. Jay was looking around the room for her. "You're too pretty to be here by yourself." "You're too dumb to see that girl over their staring at you." Mikki pointed to Jessica. "She's nobody. Just my  girlfriend." "You're girlfriend isn't just somebody. That's rude and she's coming this way." Jessica tapped Mikki on the shoulder. "Hi. I'm Jessica and you are?" "That was very bold, but my name is Meccala, but you can call me Mikki." "Ima bold person Mikki. The next time I catch you in the hallway flirting with my boyfriend, we're gonna have problems, okay?" Mikki and Jessica both stood up, facing each other. "Oh you saw that." "Bitch, the whole school saw that. Just because you're new don't mean you can steal him from me." "I don't know who you're calling a bitch, BITCH. But let me tell you something. Jay came to me fist of all and second of all I'm from Houston and when a bitch calls someone else a bitch we scwabble. and third of all, If I wanted him, I could have him." With that Mikki walked off, grabbing her items getting ready for her next class. Jessica turned to Jay, to only find him staring a Mikki's plump backside. "Jay, stay away from that girl." "Why are you being so jealous?" "She's trouble and she mad her way into this school. Bitch has another thing coming." "Jessica chill."
(Lunch)
Mikki made her way into the cafeteria. She heard people whispering past her. "Yepp, thats the new girl." "Word around school is she told Jessica off." "Who does she think she is?" Mikki grabbed her lunch and sat at an empty table alone and started tweeting off her android.
@HarajukuMikki:"This bitch really got me fucked the fuck UP!"
She looked up from her phone to find a girl with the biggest grin sitting across from her. "Not to be rude, but can I help you?" "It just looks like you could use a friend. My name is Raygen."

"Cute name. I'm Meccala, but-" "Oh. Trust me, the whole school knows who you are after what took place in dance class." "(Giggles) Oh, she just thought she could just run me over. Not cool." "Where are you from?" "Houston,Texas." "Whats it like over there." "Way different than New york, but its lots of cattle? and highways?" Raygen giggled. "You're funny and pretty cool." "You too."
(Jay's POV)
"Look, for the thousandth time, I don't have anything going on with her, damn Jessica." Jay said pacing the empty classroom back and forth. "LIAR. BUT THE QUESTION IS DO YOU LIKE HER?!?!? JAY, ANSWER ME!" "Lower your voice, we're not even supposed to be here." "Like I said do you like her?" Jessica's eyes pleaded to know the truth. She already knew the answer. "You know what, thats it. I'm done. You don't trust me, but I trust you even though I caught you in bed with my ex bestfriend, Jordan!" "Jay. . . I-I-I Umm, Does this mean we're breaking up?" "Thats exactly what it means. By the way, tell Jordan I said hi." Jay stormed out the classroom, leaving Jessica dumbfounded.
(Mikki POV)
"Ohhh. Jay making his way over here 4o'clock." Raygen said fanning herself. "You're stupid." "You know you like him." "Nope" "Yes." "No!" "Whatever, tell me how everything goes." Raygen slipped her phone number into Mikki's phone and left. Jay took the seat Raygen was in. "Hey." "Hi." Mikki said shyly. "Look, let me say I'm sorry for the way Jessica was acting towards you. She's so controlling." " Its cool." "But you from Houston, so you good." Jay said mocking her. "You like teasing me don't you?" "Kind of." "So wassup with you and her." "Our status: Broken up." "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean -" "Naw, Its cool. So how about you let me slip my number in your phone like Raygen did." Jay said winking at her. "Boy please. Tighten up."
